The Peace and Security Initiative (PSI) November 13, 2006, community-wide meeting was a great success, with over 140 organizations in attendance and with representation from a broad cross-section in our community. There was a shared sense of excitement that PSI is moving forward in coordinating strategic resources (e.g., trainings, messaging) and helping to build bridges within the peace and security community.

The DESIRED OUTCOMES of this meeting were to:
- Explore the implications of the 2006 elections, including the messages and frames that resonated in the campaign debates, for PSI issues and strategy in 2007 and 2008
- Provide opportunities for strategic discussion on PSI issues
- Share the results and analysis of the 2007 Community Priorities Poll
- Share information on new activities and community resources
As always at PSI meetings, we sought to:
- Strengthen the capacity of the community through interactive workshops on fundraising and communications
- Build stronger relationships across sectors of our community (e.g. thing tanks, advocacy organizations, the grassroots, and funders)
- Agree to next steps for moving forward
