What is the Peace and Security Initiative?

Through the Peace and Security Initiative (PSI), advocacy organizations, grassroots groups, think tanks, academics, and funders work together to increase their capacity to influence U.S. policy to promote a more secure, peaceful and just world.  PSI encourages collaborative strategic planning to strengthen the financial health of this community, grow its membership, hone its messages and coordinate its campaigns, thus enhancing its collective impact.

Best Practices on Nonprofit Survival in an Economic Downturn

PSI will begin to compile resources related to fundraising, leadership and organizational management.  The following newsletters are focused on these topics:

PSI Annual Report

Thanks to all that attended this year's PSI community-wide meeting.  We heard in the evaluations and in our conversations with many of you that the information shared at the PSI meeting was novel and valuable.  We look forward to continuing to provide resources and help to build bridges within the peace and security community in order to seize the unique opportunity presented us by an Obama Administration and the new Congress.
